About the Role We are seeking an experienced Architectural Draftsperson to join our team in Penrith. In this role, you will be responsible for translating concepts, architectural plans and client requirements into accurate, detailed joinery drawings suitable for client approval, manufacturing and installation. This is a key technical role that sits between design and production, ensuring our projects are buildable, compliant and delivered to a high standard. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed joinery drawings, plans, sections and elevations for kitchens, wardrobes, vanities, and custom joinery using CAD software. Interpret architectural documentation and client briefs to develop practical, buildable solutions aligned with design intent and site constraints. Produce workshop drawings, cutting lists and hardware schedules for the factory and installation teams. Liaise with builders, architects, clients and internal stakeholders to clarify specifications, resolve technical issues and incorporate feedback. Conduct site measures and verify dimensions where required to ensure accuracy prior to manufacture. Ensure all documentation complies with relevant building codes, standards, and company procedures. Maintain drawing records, revisions and project documentation in an organised and timely manner. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience as an Architectural Draftsperson, Joinery Draftsperson or similar role, ideally within a cabinetmaking/joinery or shopfitting environment. Strong proficiency in CAD software Solid understanding of joinery construction, materials, hardware and installation methods. Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, specifications and engineering documentation. High attention to detail, strong spatial awareness and a practical, solutions-focused approach. Effective communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Qualifications Relevant qualification in Architectural Drafting, Building Design, Interior Design, or related discipline (or substantial equivalent experience in joinery drafting).
