The Opportunity Here at The Kids Research Institute Australia, our passionate finance team are a pivotal part of the organisation. Working closely with our research teams, they provide strategic and operational financial support with budgets, planning and analysis, enabling us to achieve our mission - to improve the health and wellbeing of children through excellence in research. This is an integral role for the running of the institutes financial systems and financial data collection processes and will provide a dedicated focus on the annual budgeting cycle, including supporting the development of business cases for strategic plan development and implementation. As a senior role within the team, the FP&A Analyst will partner with senior management, the executive and board members to ensure continuous improvement of financial data and reporting. No two days will be the same in this varied role but typically your day-to-day tasks will include: Partnering with stakeholders to create high quality reports that meet their needs and inform financial and strategic decision making. Leading and managing the Institute's processes for organisational budgeting, forecasting and re-forecasting. Upskill and educate stakeholders on financial tracking and analysis. Continuous improvement of the institute’s Enterprise Resource Planning system, to enable best practice data collection, consistency and integrity. Supporting the preparation of the monthly management accounts including commentary on budget variances. Based at Perth Children’s Hospital in Nedlands, this role will be permanent and offered on a full-time basis. About You The ideal applicant will be a people-focused finance professional, who thrives under pressure whilst handling competing priorities. The key to your success will be your demonstrated experience in cultivating meaningful relationships based on trust, along with: Knowledge of business management and accounting principles to support strategic planning, resource allocation and overhead recovery models. Demonstrated ability to develop collaborative working relationships with stakeholders and maintain them over time, including working with senior executives and board members. Experience in departmental budgeting and/or forecasting across a large organisation and/or in a complex industry. Deep understanding of ERP systems, and or the dealing with complex data derived from ERP systems. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is desirable. Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Excel Skills, including using excel as a base tool for financial planning or analysis of bulk financial data.
