An opportunity is available for an experienced Cook to join the kitchen team at Narkoojee Winery, a well-established, family-owned winery located approximately 15 minutes from Traralgon. This temporary role will support the winery’s lunch service and is suited to a hands-on hospitality professional who enjoys working in a relaxed, quality-driven environment. About Narkoojee Winery Located in the foothills of the Great Dividing Range, Narkoojee Winery is renowned for its cool-climate wines, welcoming cellar door and commitment to quality food and hospitality. Set among picturesque vineyards, the winery offers guests a relaxed regional dining experience focused on fresh, well-executed lunch service. The Role The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, cooking and presenting high-quality food in line with menu specifications, food safety standards and customer expectations, while supporting the smooth and efficient operation of the kitchen. Hourly rate is dependent on experience. Key responsibilities include: Food preparation, cooking and service for lunch trade Creating menus and managing ordering and stock levels Maintaining food quality, hygiene and safety standards Care and correct use of kitchen equipment Working collaboratively with kitchen staff who assist with meal preparation and cleaning Hours and Roster Wednesday to Sunday – lunch service Winery trading hours: 10.00am – 4.30pm Restaurant service: 12.00pm – 3.00pm Approximately 38 hours per week (flexible hours available) About You Previous experience in a similar role is essential Relevant hospitality qualifications are desirable Sound understanding of food safety and kitchen operations Experience with menu planning and stock ordering Reliable, organised and able to work autonomously How to Apply If you're an experienced cook, or a qualified chef, we'd love to hear from you.
