The Opportunity As part of our broader ICT team, our Data Services team plays a critical role in ensuring the integrity, security, and compliance of information across the Institute. We now have an exciting opportunity for an Enterprise Information Management Lead to join our team and help us achieve this. Reporting to the Data Services Manager, you will lead the development and implementation of our enterprise-wide information management and data governance strategy. The main focus of this role will be to improve operational effectiveness, compliance, and decision-making by embedding robust governance frameworks, policies, and processes across the organisation. You will also drive initiatives to strengthen data architecture, lifecycle management, and accountability structures. Your ability to build strong relationships and communicate effectively will be essential as you collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to promote best practices in information governance and data handling. Some of your responsibilities will include: Developing and maintaining an enterprise-wide information management and data governance strategy. Leading data inventory, classification, and lifecycle management processes. Partnering with ICT and business teams to design scalable data architectures and embed governance controls into systems and processes. Establishing clear roles and responsibilities through a data stewardship model and promoting adoption across teams. Monitoring compliance, conducting audits, and driving continuous improvement in governance maturity. Conveniently located within Perth Children’s Hospital, this position will be offered on a full-time basis for a 2-year period. About You The successful candidate will hold a tertiary or degree level qualification in a relevant field such as Information Management or Data Science. Advanced qualifications in Data Governance, Enterprise Architecture, or related discipline desirable. You will also demonstrate: Extensive experience in enterprise information management, data governance, and data quality frameworks. Knowledge of research, clinical, and business data environments. Strong understanding of regulatory and legislative requirements for data management. Demonstrated experience in leading enterprise-level data strategies, architecture, and governance initiatives.
