Due to an increased demand within our business, SYPAQ are seeking a Cyber Security Consultant for a permanent opportunity within the Consulting team. The opportunity is based in Canberra. We are seeking an experienced Cyber Security Professional with experience in Cyber Security documentation, Policy Development, GRC, governance frameworks such as the Essential Eight (E8) and Information Security Manual (ISM). You will join our high performing team of specialists in a full-time and permanent capacity. You will have the ability to work autonomously with stakeholders from government and industry while being supported by SYPAQ’s cyber specialists that include personnel with extensive cyber experience in Government and Defence. The successful candidate will have minimum four years’ experience with ICT/Engineering systems and have a desire to learn and work supporting cyber aspects of Government capability projects. This work can include a wide variety of tasking from the development of requirements, support to verification and validation, or support to certification and accreditation of capability. The role will be based in Canberra. Travel will likely be required at our clients request and we have multiple projects that require a dedicated professional to add their unique value and voice to the cyber conversation. About You Australian Citizen with minimum NV1 clearance Approximately four years’ experience in ICT/engineering Bachelor of Engineering. Can be in Systems, Electronics and Communications, Aerospace, Mechatronics, or Software Excellent interpersonal communications skills (writing and speaking) Desire to learn cyber in the Defence Capability context Experience with the Defence Capability Lifecycle (One Defence Capability System) is highly desirable but not necessary Question In order for us to better understand you, please provide a brief explanation outlining your fitment in the role.
