About The Opportunity The Administration Officer will provide administrative support to the team at Hunter Prosthetics and Orthotics Service (HPOS) to enable the efficient operation of the unit. This role will be working alongside the senior Administration Officer. You will be responsible for day-to-day administrative functions of the department, maintaining database systems and managing financial processes/systems and other records as required. As a front-of-service patient-facing role, you will have excellent people skills and a warm and friendly personality. Your ability to engage with people of all ages, and with a range of disabilities, will be a vital part of developing and maintaining the relationship with our patients. HPOS is located in Newcastle on the John Hunter Hospital campus, and provides care to a range of patients of all ages. Specialising in rehabilitation, the service works in collaboration with internal/external referrers and multi-disciplinary teams including numerous clinics, operating theatres as well as physiotherapy and orthopaedic services. Consisting of 10 clinical, 3 technical and 2 administrative roles, the HPOS team cares deeply about the positive patient care-experience. The team is passionate about assisting our clients, and their families, to achieve desired life goals and get them ‘moving through life’. HPOS is a registered NDIS provided and works with multiple funding agencies.
