We are currently seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team full time. Duties and Responsibilities: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine carpentry requirements Measure, mark, and calculate dimensions and material quantities accurately Cut, shape, assemble, and finish timber and other building materials using hand and power tools Construct, install, and repair structural frameworks including walls, floors, roof framing, window frames, doors, and staircases Install flooring systems, wall linings, roof components, and fix-outs ensuring accuracy, level, and compliance with specifications Construct and install cabinetry, shelving, fixtures, and other timber components as required Carry out maintenance, repair, and refurbishment works, and prepare quotations or material estimates when requested by the Building Manager Erect and dismantle scaffolding and temporary structures in accordance with safety requirements Inspect completed work to ensure quality, structural integrity, and compliance with building codes and workplace standards Report all incidents, hazards, and serious safety matters immediately to the Site or Building Manager Record accidents and incidents using approved workplace reporting systems and documentation Maintain tools, equipment, and assets in safe working condition, keeping an up-to-date asset register Ensure work vehicles are maintained, clean, and safe, with regular checks of oil, water, tyres, and general condition, and report faults to the Safety Officer Perform multi-skilled duties and other tasks within trade competency as directed by the Building Manager Applicants must have: A relevant cert 3 or at least three years of relevant experience may substitute for the formal qualifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent organisational, time management and planning skills Be proactive, reliable, responsible, and accurate with an attention to detail The ability to keep information confidential Ability to work in high-stress environments A wide degree of creativity and latitude Self-motivated with a positive and professional approach when interacting with management, staff, and community members Current Drivers Licence The successful candidate will be offered a salary of $75,000 - $100,000.
