The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing surfaces, mixing and matching paints, and applying high-quality finishes to a variety of structures. This role requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Key Responsibilities Prepare surfaces by cleaning, scraping, sanding, patching holes and cracks, sealing, and priming Remove old paint and wallpaper; repair minor woodwork as required Select, mix, and prepare paints, stains, varnishes, and finishes to achieve specified colours and textures Apply paints, varnishes, and stains using brushes, rollers, and spray equipment Hang wallpaper, match patterns, and trim edges neatly Erect and dismantle scaffolding and ladders safely Place drop sheets and protective coverings to prevent paint splatter Set up and clean work sites, tools, and equipment after completion Consult with clients on colour choices, styles, and finishes to ensure satisfaction Follow workplace health and safety regulations at all times Skills & Requirements Proven experience as a Painter or similar role Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques and paint application methods Ability to work at heights and handle scaffolding and ladders safely Good eye for detail and colour matching Strong time management and teamwork skills Excellent customer service and communication skills Commitment to safety and quality workmanship What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Ongoing work opportunities Supportive and professional team environment Opportunity to work on a variety of projects across Melbourne How to Apply Please send your resume and a brief cover letter to: melintpty@gmail.com
