About the Business Bakers Delight Gungahlin is a well-established retail bakery producing a wide range of fresh breads and baked products daily using traditional baking methods and quality ingredients. We are committed to consistency, food safety, and high production standards. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Baker to join our team on a full-time basis. Key Duties & Responsibilities The successful candidate will perform duties consistent with the ANZSCO occupation of Baker, including: Preparing, mixing, and baking doughs and batters for breads and bakery products from scratch Measuring, weighing, and mixing ingredients according to recipes and production schedules Operating commercial bakery equipment including mixers, provers (proofing cabinets), ovens, and bench equipment Hand-shaping, moulding, proving, and finishing bakery products Monitoring fermentation, baking times, and temperatures to ensure consistent product quality Managing daily production schedules to meet retail demand Maintaining food safety, hygiene, and WHS standards at all times Minimising waste and managing stock of baking ingredients Cleaning and maintaining bakery equipment and work areas Requirements Skills & Experience Required Relevant qualification in Baking or Patisserie (Certificate III or equivalent) OR minimum 3 years of relevant full-time baking experience Strong knowledge of bread production, dough fermentation, and baking processes Ability to work early morning shifts in a fast-paced environment High attention to detail and consistency Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards Ability to work independently and as part of a team Employment Conditions Full-time position (minimum 38 hours per week ) Rostered shifts including early mornings, weekends, and public holidays as required Ongoing employment subject to performance and business requirements Benefits Permanent, full-time role with long-term job security Competitive salary aligned with market and migration requirements Consistent rostered hours Opportunity to work with a reputable national bakery brand Supportive and professional team environment High standards of food safety, quality control, and compliance How to Apply Please submit your resume detailing your relevant baking experience and qualifications.
