Description The Health and Recreation Team are seeking an applicant for the role of Team Leader Sport and Recreation. This role reports to the Facility Manager Recreation. This role is responsible for day-to-day administration of council’s recreation, sports and arts related programs and services. This involves actively maintaining the retention of sports teams, the administration and oversight of sports officials, recreation programs, promotion and marketing and assisting with the review and implementation of policies, plans and strategies related to sport and recreation management. Leading a small team of Recreation Support Officers to ensure the smooth delivery of sports programs and associated services Lead generating sporting fixtures and recreation programs and taking bookings for recreation and arts programs and events, Lead the resolution of sports related customer enquiries, complaints and requests, Assist with the day-to-day office administration and operations of the centre including customer service, programs and sports development. The Team Leader Sport and Recreation will play a key role in facilitating, maintaining and further enhancing these areas, ensuing alignment with Councils management operating framework. The position involves working collaboratively across teams, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and supporting effective leadership, communication and reporting. Salary Range is between $91,908 - $98,028 plus superannuation guarantee and will be negotiated commensurate with skills, experience and qualifications.
