Description We are seeking dedicated and professional Security Officers to join our security team at the Royal Adelaide Hospital. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting regular patrols, and responding promptly to incidents, including Code Blacks. You will work closely with hospital staff and emergency services to maintain a safe and secure environment for patients, visitors, and staff. You will ensure compliance with all safety policies and procedures, complete detailed and accurate incident reports, and contribute to a calm, professional, and supportive security presence within the hospital. This is a full-time position requiring flexibility to work a rotating roster, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts, on a 5 days on / 2 days off schedule. What you’ll do: Respond to security incidents, including Code Blacks and access control breaches Conduct regular internal and external patrols, including car park monitoring and patient escorts Monitor and operate CCTV and alarm systems within a control room environment Complete incident reports, issue infringement notices, and promptly report hazards Support emergency response procedures and liaise with hospital staff and emergency services What you’ll bring: Certificate II in Security and a current SA Security Licence (mandatory) Current First Aid (including CPR) and Working with Children Check (mandatory) Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills Excellent written communication and incident reporting skills High level of professionalism, integrity, and ability to work effectively within a team Top of Form Please note: As a pre-requisite for this role, successful candidates will be required to undertake a pre-employment medical, as well as provide an up-to-date National Police Clearance, Current working with children clearance and Immunisation history.
