With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Grade 3 Physiotherapists to join the Pre-admission Service.  Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our six main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals, and Kilmore District Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park, Mernda and Coburg.  About the Role: The Senior Clinician has a key leadership role in the provision, organisation and development of physiotherapy services in the Pre-admission Clinic and Pre-habilitation service at Northern Health. The senior clinician will act as a clinical resource for junior staff and students. The position includes a clinical caseload within the Pre-admission Clinic and Pre-habilitation service at the Northern Hospital Epping. â¯Â Through their clinical expertise they will have a leading role in ensuring excellence in client care, promotion of quality, education of staff and students and in team and program development. The senior clinician will work closely with the other senior clinicians, clinical leaders, program coordinators and managers to monitor, evaluate and develop their service area.â¯â¯Â  This position is a fixed term full time position behind maternity leave until 29/1/27 at 80 hours per fortnight with monthly Accrued Day Off  To be successful in this role you will have: A background which includes significant clinical experience resulting in high level of skill in cardiorespiratory physiotherapy Relevant Post-graduate Qualification (or working towards)â¯Â Demonstrated highly developed interpersonal skillsâ¯Â Demonstrated leadership skills and initiative in developing and promoting clinical careâ¯Â  Demonstrated ability to lead and promote evidence based practiceâ¯Â Possesses practical negotiation and conflict resolution skillsâ¯Â Experienced in supervision of junior physiotherapy staff and/or Allied Health Assistantsâ¯Â Experience in the management and education of undergraduate physiotherapy studentsâ¯Â Demonstrated leadership within a multidisciplinary team and promotion of interprofessional practiceâ¯Â Demonstrates and models a strong commitment to ongoing professional developmentâ¯Â  Next Steps . . .
