The Opportunity The Ashurst Melbourne Real Estate team is looking for a bright and driven commercial property lawyer, ideally with between two to four years' post qualification experience. This role will enable you to develop your skills across a full range of real estate transactions. In this role, you will work alongside our team of Partners and senior and junior to service a our internal and external clients. You will work on mainstream property transactions such as land and building acquisitions, disposals, leasing and development work in addition to major corporate deals and large infrastructure projects. We pride ourselves on working on the most complex and often pioneering transactions across the real estate space. Our team is client focused and we work hard. However we value and seek to foster collaboration, novel thinking, enjoyment and a good sense of humour. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, coupled with good drafting skills. A commercial approach and a developing ability to articulate and negotiate effectively. Experience with acquisitions and disposals, leases and development work beneficial. Transactional commercial real estate experience and an in-depth understanding of the issues that can arise on relevant transactions. Strong attention to detail with well-developed analytical skills. The ability to be team-focused while also working independently. A proactive, positive and energetic approach with a commitment to providing excellent service and a desire to interact with the market and build client relationships. Ability to contribute to professional development and know-how and participate in training where appropriate.
