About the Role Reporting to the Program Lead of Environment, this full time role is based from our Western Treatment Plant in Werribee. As part of our dynamic crew, you’ll work across our grasslands and rivers. Undertake natural resource management and/or civil asset maintenance/project activities in waterways and land delivery environments Your work will involve: Weed control and vegetation management Operating a variety of tools and machinery including knapsacks, spray rigs, brush cutters, and chainsaws Revegetation and planting projects On-ground project work restoring and enhancing natural ecosystems For more information please review the Position Description: PositionDescription-_Crew_Memberpdf About you: Experience in bushland/grassland management Experience using herbicides and spray rigs. Flora Identification and vegetation assessment skills is desirable Practical qualifications in Conservation and Land Management (or equivalent) A strong work ethic and ability to work safely and effectively in a team A genuine commitment to protecting our precious environment for future generations Ability to work proactively as a member of the team, contribute fully to team decision-making and take responsibility for own role in ensuring the safety of all team members and other personnel on site Problem solving skills, including the ability to deliver the appropriate outcomes An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with colleagues, and the general public Resilient and able to perform under pressure, especially in emergency situations Valid Victorian Driver’s License Ability to pass a Police check and pre-employment medical Please Note: All employees must possess a license to perform any duty which is required to be held under Australian legislation.
