You’ll only need to drop in occasionally to replenish supplies or attend face-to-face training sessions at the Moonah or Sorell office, giving you the flexibility to focus on what matters most: your clients. Description About the position The District Nurses (TDN) is a long-standing Tasmanian not-for-profit organisation dedicated to helping people age and live well in their own homes for as long as possible. We’re seeking compassionate Domestic Assistants to join our southern region team on a permanent part-time basis. As a Domestic Assistant, you will: Perform general household tasks including cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and mopping Support clients with washing, drying, ironing, and folding clothes and linen Assist with meal preparation and light kitchen duties Complete unaccompanied grocery shopping and other appropriate errands as needed Ensure the home environment is safe and report any concerns Provide friendly companionship and conversation to reduce isolation and build positive connections Skills And Experiences About you You don’t need previous support work experience; we’ll provide full training. Prior cleaning experience will be highly regarded. We’re seeking someone who is: Passionate about client service Committed to empowering clients’ choice, dignity, and independence Able to work autonomously and responsibly Comfortable using basic technology (e.g. smartphone or tablet use) Physically capable of performing the role An effective communicator with strong interpersonal skills Essential Requirements to be provided: A valid unrestricted driver’s licence and access to a registered, insured and roadworthy vehicle National Police Check Working with Vulnerable People (Employee) Check with NDIS endorsement Current First Aid and CPR Certificate Why Join TDN?
