What you’ll do Manage the set up of supplier/purchase order scheduling into the DC network for maximum efficiency and availability. Slot purchase orders into DC’s at appropriate times. Implement efficiencies to the inbound operations e.g. ensuring your flow of stock into DCs is smooth across the day and week. Identify, communicate and resolve known and unexpected issues impacting inbound such as ferry cancellations, rail closure etc. Negotiate changes to DC operations to resolve constraints. Build collaborative working relationships with Primary Connect, 3PLs, Supply Planning and Commercial teams. Managing and influencing storage levels at DCs & 3PLs to optimise cost and ensure no operational issues arise as a result from DCs being too full. Monitoring the arrival of containers and managing the prioritisation of container unpacks in collaboration with key stakeholders.
