K Ey Outcomes And Accountabilities The aim of this role is to: Lead and manage the operations of the team. This will include: Monitoring and reporting on team performance including undertake quality assurance audits and identifying training opportunities; Providing staff with appropriate mentoring, guidance, training, support and assistance; Assist in developing the organisations plans and budget; Manage or, where necessary, personally handle complex and/or sensitive cases, including licence applications, renewals, maintenance and other complex licensing issues. Cultivate collaborative relationships with stakeholders to promote QBCC's objectives and values. Coordinate the development, implementation and review of policies, procedures, systems, forms and communications. Represent the QBCC in promotional and educational activities including in regional locations as required. Represent the QBCC in proceedings before the tribunal and courts as required, including mentoring of other officers involved in a proceeding. Investigate, determine, and provide advice on complex matters relating to licensing. Interpret, apply, and provide guidance on policy and legislation at a very high level. Lead planning and change management activities including identifying opportunities for improvement. Provide authoritative advice regarding the licensing frameworks administered by the QBCC, through: reviewing, analysing and making recommendations on complex matters and preparing briefs for senior management. providing senior level advice regarding licensing matters to other QBCC staff and external customers. Provide exceptional customer service to all staff of the Commission and its customers. This position may be required to undertake regional travel.
