Description About the Role (Can be based in Melbourne, Brisbane or Sydney) We are seeking a Senior Procurement Advisor to support the delivery of high‑value, high‑complexity, and high‑risk infrastructure projects across the Energy & Utilities sector. With a strong focus on transmission lines, substations, and major capital works, this role plays a critical part in shaping procurement strategies and executing sourcing and subcontracting activities during bids, tenders, and project mobilisation. Working closely with the Procurement & Contracts Manager , you will contribute to procurement planning, manage subcontract packages, and support the negotiation and award of contracts. You will also play a key role in managing international supply channels, specialised equipment procurement, and long‑lead items essential to project success. Key Accountabilities Support procurement and subcontracting activities across bids, tenders, and mobilisation phases. Develop procurement strategies, plans, and tender returnables in collaboration with the Procurement & Contracts Manager. Manage sourcing and contracting of subcontract packages across civil, electrical, and specialist scopes. Coordinate procurement of international supply, specialised equipment, and long‑lead items. Assist in contract negotiations and prepare documentation for award recommendations. Provide commercial insights and procurement advice to project teams and internal stakeholders. Ensure compliance with procurement governance, risk frameworks, and commercial standards. What We’re Looking For Strong experience in procurement and subcontracting within major infrastructure or utilities projects. Exposure to high‑value, high‑risk procurement environments. Experience developing procurement plans, tender documentation, and sourcing strategies. Capability in managing subcontract packages and supporting complex negotiations. Understanding of international supply chains and long‑lead procurement. Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and analytical skills.
