Unpaid Social Media Intern role with TikTok experience for a crowd-funded women's safety organisation You must have experience with TikTok and Instagram campaigns - especially focused on innovative reels. Your application must provide examples of your work on both social media platforms and address your ability to work on platforms dedicated to women's safety. The RED HEART Movement / Australian Femicide Watch is looking for a creative and confident Social Media Intern in Melbourne. If you love being behind (and in front of) a camera, understand what performs on TikTok and Instagram and want to gain experience in a crowd-funded feminist-led service ending violence against women this could be the job for you. This role is perfect for a social media communications or marketing student who wants to level up their social skills across content creation and platform management. The internship is unpaid however can be credited towards relevant university requirements. What you’ll be doing: ● Creating, filming and editing Reels and TikToks using Canva and other apps ● Scheduling content on Instagram and TikTok. ● Growing and optimising TikTok with trend led content that aims to highlight violence against women and children. ● Filming and capturing content at shoots, events and on the fly ● Creating assets in Canva for reels, stories and posts, including editing reels from the She Matters podcast. ● Researching trends, sounds, formats and competitor activity ● Support with general social and admin tasks You’ll thrive here if you: ● Want to help keep women safe and have ethical and innovative ideas for spreading engaging a diverse audience ● Have a strong understanding of TikTok and Instagram ● Love creating content and aren’t afraid to try, test and experiment ● Can use Canva with confidence ● Are proactive, organised and comfortable with taking direction and working independantly ● Are studying Communications, Media, PR or Marketing (preferred) The details: ● Based in Melbourne, hybrid WFH and some inner city office locations ● Three days per week for three months ● Hours: 9.30am to 5.00pm ● Immediate start available ● Internship can be accredited to university programs
