What's The Role: Linday Transport are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic to join our growing maintenance team, based in Acacia Ridge, Brisbane. This role is critical in ensuring the reliability and performance of refrigerated trucks, trailers, and transport refrigeration units, supporting the safe delivery of temperature-controlled goods. The successful candidate will work with modern refrigeration systems, perform diagnostics, servicing, and repairs, and play a key role in minimising downtime across our fleet. Your responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Safe Always - Demonstrating safe work practices, leading by example and promoting a safe work culture. Transport Refrigeration Maintenance & Repair - Servicing, maintaining, and repairing transport refrigeration units; Repairing refrigeration and diesel components; Ensuring units operate correctly before departure. Compliance with Maintenance Standards - Performing work in line with Lindsay Transport's maintenance plan. Documentation & Record Keeping - Completing paperwork and updating service records for all work performed. Work Environment & Flexibility - Working onsite at the Sydney Depot or customer locations; Working independently or collaboratively within the workshop team. What You'll Bring: Trade qualified Light or Heavy Vehicle background. ARC refrigerant handling license (can assist in obtaining for the right applicant). Clear and competent communication skills. The ability to work both independently and in a team-based environment. In-depth knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and their components. Demonstrated ability to fault find, dissemble, repair and reassemble. A commitment to workplace health and safety (essential). Thermo-King experience highly regarded.
