About the Role As a Mechanical Technician , you will demonstrate a high level of experience & knowledge in ensuring the smooth operation of our plant through both planned maintenance and breakdown support. Key Responsibilities Planned & Breakdown Maintenance Advanced mechanical fault finding including understand of low voltage field devices. Plan machine isolations Lead audit processes / risk / job safety analysis / contractor management Fabrication and modification of non-structural components Planning and managing equipment installation and commissioning of new plant equipment Sourcing and ordering of specialised parts Sign off safety checklists and adhere to all relevant health and safety policies, standards, procedures and legislative requirements About You You are a proactive, individual, with outstanding problem solving and multi-tasking skills. Our ideal candidates will have previous experience with the Steel or heavy industry manufacturing environment, and be a highly organised team player with exemplary attention to detail. To be successful, you will have: Min 2 years' experience - Mechanical Technician Level 2 Have experience and/or knowledge of Interpreting mechanical drawings An agile mindset with a focus on continuous improvement initiatives Certificate III or above in Engineering (mechanical trade) or related qualification Experience within the steel or reinforcing sector (advantageous but not essential) Must have unlimited work rights in Australia How to Apply If you are interested in this opportunity, please submit an up to date resume in MS Word format by hitting 'Apply Now'.
