Our NSW Government client are looking for a highly capable Project Officer to join the organisation. In this role, you will be responsible for the delivery of the Healthy Food Information Service, across the state of NSW. This involves monitoring and reporting on the NSW Healthy School Canteen Strategy, as well as looking at Healthy Food and Drink in health facilities for staff and visitors. Role Title: Project Officer Contract Role Till: 6 month initial contract duration Hourly Pay: Between $60-$68 Super per hour Location: St Leonards (2065)/Hybrid. About the Role Provide menu check assessments to schools, review canteen menus and provide clear advice and support to canteen operators to assist in improvements. Maintain accurate service records. Manage incoming phone and email enquires. Skills & Experience Demonstrated experience in delivering health promotion programs, preferably in childhood settings or nutrition-related programs. Sound knowledge of obesity, chronic disease prevention and health promotion issues, specifically related to children and young people. Demonstrated organisational skills, the capacity to successfully complete several tasks concurrently and to achieve competing deadlines. Effective oral, written communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide clear advice to diverse audiences including schools, canteen operators, and health facility staff. Demonstrated ability to prepare reports and submissions, which include reporting data. Ability to work flexibly, collaboratively, and effectively across program areas.
