Strategy Lead – Energy Sector A leader in the energy sector is seeking a Strategy Lead to support the Head of Strategy develop the strategic agenda. In this role, you will be responsible for deep dives and high-quality analysis, creating recommendations to inform the direction of the business. You will be a trusted advisor to the leadership team and beyond. Key Responsibilities : Support development and execution of strategic agendas this role will play an important role in shaping the overall strategy and ensuring it is aligned with broader organizational objectives. Conduct rigorous research and analysis to provide quantitative and qualitative assessment of risks and opportunities. Drive the implementation of targeted initiatives to ensure the efficient and successful execution of strategic plans. Identify and manage rapid responses to emerging issues that may impact the business’s ability to achieve its strategic goals and targets. Provide key input for leadership reports and decision-making forums, including preparing papers for the Board and Executive Leadership Team. Collaborate with stakeholders across various levels to support strategic planning, simplify complex topics, and enhance prioritization and focus. Build and maintain relationships with key internal teams, including other Corporate Strategy teams , Finance, and Capital Investment, to ensure alignment and cooperation across functions. Contribute to regulatory and policy advocacy, customer strategy, and business improvement initiatives that support the overall objectives of the business. Offer strategic insights and reporting on both internal and external developments that influence the organization’s business strategy, providing clarity and direction for leadership and stakeholders. Key Requirements : 3 years of experience in a strategy consulting firm, in house strategy team or Investment banking. Experience in energy sector is advantageous. Strong quant, analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in financial business analysis and extracting insights in areas of ambiguity. Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to senior stakeholders. Analytical, data driven, critical thinker. Strong interpersonal skills. Exceptional academic track record.
