Reporting to the Manager Court Services, the Judicial and Registry Services Team Leader has responsibility for the delivery of high quality case management, court room and chambers support to the judicial officers of the courts and registry services to clients, legal practitioners, registrars, family consultants and community groups which support court users. The role has oversight of both judicial and registry services in the location, including: providing the initial point of contact that clients have with courts providing information on appropriate avenues for addressing client needs, assisting to solve their problems, and recommending appropriate options, resources or services both internal and external to the Court processing, filing and sorting documents, including quality assurance and archiving functions providing the initial point of contact for judicial officers of the courts with respect to chambers arrangements and other administrative matters working with Corporate Services to manage the recruitment, training and development of judges associates and support staff coordination of events and in-court support requirements. The key duties of the position include The position of Judicial and Registry Services Team Leader requires a self-starter who thinks both strategically to solve problems facing the courts as well as seeks ongoing performance improvement. The responsibilities of the position include: leading and/or supporting teams of client services staff and associates, deputy associates, case coordinators and court officers to ensure high quality support to clients, legal practitioners, judicial officers, registrars, family consultants and community groups coordinating courts' operations including scheduling of events and providing reports on case management indicators providing statistical reports to case management and court services management teams in relation to trends and issues associated with local service provision managing change in a challenging and fast moving environment developing and maintaining positive, productive and collaborative relationships with the judiciary, the legal profession and community groups, and ensuring the policies and standards of the courts are promoted and maintained.
