We are looking for a dynamic Knowledge Coordinator to join the Library and Research Services team within the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (Cth) ( CDPP ). The Knowledge Coordinator, Library and Research Services is responsible for leading a national team of specialist law librarians to deliver high-quality knowledge management & library services to support the national practice of the CDPP, as the peak agency in the Commonwealth criminal justice system. The role works closely with the National Manager, Legal Learning and Knowledge (LLK) and Branch Head, Legal Capability and Performance (LCP) practice group within the CDPP. The CDPP's purpose is to contribute to a fair, safe, and just society by delivering an effective, independent prosecution service in accordance with the Prosecution Policy of the Commonwealth. This role supports that purpose by leading the delivery of a broad range of knowledge management & library and research services. Library and Research Services team sits within the Legal Learning and Knowledge workgroup within the CDPP's LCP practice group. LCP is responsible for building capability and improving performance across the CDPP's legal practice. It undertakes a range of significant legal practice improvement projects, centralises cross-practice group functions and leads strategic and business planning activities. LCP works in close partnership with colleagues across the Enabling Services Group to support the CDPP's Executive Committee and prosecutors in our legal practice groups. The team's main focus is to provide CDPP staff with accurate and timely specialist legal research services. This is primarily achieved through responding to legal research requests, providing curated current awareness services, maintaining a contemporary and relevant library collection and supporting the development of core legal research skills and capabilities of CDPP staff. As part of the Legal Learning and Knowledge workgroup, the Library and Research Services team also supports knowledge management uplift at the CDPP. The key duties of the position include The Knowledge Coordinator will: lead and be responsible for the delivery of high-quality knowledge management & library and research services to the CDPP; manage a dispersed team in a dynamic operating environment; lead the strategic and operational direction of the Library and Research Services team and align it with the CDPP's goals and objectives; develop, manage and implement a knowledge management strategy and framework to promote knowledge management throughout the CDPP; provide expert advice on all aspects involved in the provision of knowledge management and library and research services; oversee the administration of the library systems including the Library Catalogue (FIRST); build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that knowledge management & library and research services meet the evolving operational needs of the CDPP, and are provided consistently on a national basis; and will be outcomes focused, managing and evaluating activities related to improving the delivery of knowledge management & library and research services to the CDPP. The Knowledge Coordinator may also be required to undertake a range of library and research service activities to ensure an appropriate level of service delivery.
