The Ambulatory Care Business Unit (ACBU) provides a centralised administrative workforce structure across a variety of Royal Prince Alfred (RPA) Hospital outpatient clinics. The purpose of the ACBU is to ensure centralised processes amongst our outpatient services and to support our staff in providing the best care for our patients. Administrative Officers are often the first point of contact for patients, families and their carers in an outpatient setting. Administrative Officer roles within ACBU are responsible for delivering a high standard of customer service, administrative support and actively contributing to a positive experience for our patients and visitors. A self-starter who is highly organised, competent with technology and can let go of issues like water off a ducks back – a rewarding and challenging Administration role that is not for the faint of heart. Self-organisation and flexibility must come naturally. Ability to cope with difference, take direction and manage possible competing agendas applying a mature risk lens tasks, deadlines and outcomes. Work in a close-knit team that supports and cares for each other’s well-being in a high performing, high volume outpatient clinic in Australia’s largest public hospital. Must have a naturally buoyant personality, can maintain a sense of humour where a smile and can-do attitude is the first response to difficult patients and situations. High level of proficiency with MSO. Experience with patient booking technologies preferred but must be comfortable learning new IT solutions. No job is too small – bring a preparedness to do any task required to ensure the smooth running of the clinic.
