Perks: Modern CBD office with excellent public transport access Autonomy and ownership of the finance function Supportive leadership team that values your input Opportunity to streamline and improve financial processes Stable, growing company with long-term career prospects Friendly, professional team culture Work-life balance with work from home (2 days per week) Roles and Responsibilities: Manage end-to-end bookkeeping including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations Process payroll and ensure compliance with superannuation and taxation requirements Prepare BAS and IAS lodgements accurately and on time Manage cash flow, monitor budgets, and prepare financial reports for management Reconcile accounts and maintain accurate records in Xero Liaise with external accountants for year-end reporting and audits Process invoicing and follow up on outstanding debtor payments Maintain supplier relationships and manage payment runs Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis Continuously improve financial processes and implement efficiencies Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations Role Requirements: Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior bookkeeping or similar finance role Proven experience managing end-to-end bookkeeping functions Strong understanding of Australian payroll, BAS, and superannuation requirements Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy Ability to work autonomously and manage competing priorities Strong communication skills for liaising with leadership and external parties Proactive approach to identifying and implementing process improvements Experience in a professional services or technology environment (highly regarded) Australian working rights required Technical Requirements: Advanced proficiency in Xero (essential) Experience with payroll platforms (e.g., Xero Payroll, KeyPay, or similar) Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for reporting and analysis Familiarity with receipt management tools (e.g., Dext, Hubdoc) advantageous Experience with job costing or project-based billing systems (desirable) Relevant qualifications such as Certificate IV in Bookkeeping or Accounting, BAS Agent registration, or working towards CA/CPA (desirable but not essential) We appreciate your interest in this opportunity.
