About the Role: As a Registered Nurse (RN/M1) in Theatre, you will provide safe, effective perioperative nursing care while supporting smooth surgical workflows and positive patient outcomes across the Theatre environment. You will develop from a novice to a proficient perioperative practitioner, building capability through hands-on experience, multidisciplinary teamwork, and continuous professional development. You will accept accountability for your own practice and for activities you delegate to others, ensuring high standards of care throughout the surgical journey. As a Clinical Nurse (RN/M2C) in Theatre, you will apply advanced clinical knowledge and experience to provide skilled perioperative nursing across the full Theatre environment. You will support, guide, and mentor less experienced staff, promote best practice, and contribute to service improvements within the Theatre team. While your role remains primarily clinical, you will also undertake portfolio responsibilities - such as clinical education, equipment management, or quality initiatives - aligned to your career development plan. Your leadership will help ensure safe workflows, high-quality surgical outcomes, and an engaged, well-supported perioperative workforce. What We’re Looking For: RN/M1 Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. RN/M2C Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate. Registered Nurse with at least 3 years, full time equivalent, post registration experience. Demonstrated competence in the relevant area of nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice. Experience in the leadership and direction of student nurses, enrolled nurses, and less experienced registered nurses.
