The Role An opportunity has become available for a Psychologist - Senior (Aged Care) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 13 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will Deliver advanced psychology/neuropsychology care for complex patient needs Independently exercise clinical judgement in decision making and clinical management Provide expert advice, supervision and service leadership in relation to psychology within the multidisciplinary team Implement and monitor quality standards, health and safety policies Drive quality, governance, data improvement and patient advocacy About you To be successful in this position you will require: Tertiary degree in Psychology AHPRA Registration Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required Driver Licence Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost) Benefits Flexible work options Career Development Salary Packaging Modern Facilities Diverse Work Culture Research Opportunities 12.75% super 17.5% leave loading Salary Temporary part time (60.8 hrs p.f. (up to six months with possibility for extension) Base salary ranging from $64.64 - $69.55 per hour About Us Geriatric Evaluation and Management in the Home (GEMITH) is a hospital substitution model of care where the primary clinical purpose or treatment goal is improvement in the functioning of a patient with multi-dimensional needs associated with the medical conditions related to aging. Hospital in the Home (HITH) services provide multi-disciplinary team care which aims to deliver safe, reliable, and efficient client and family focused health care services, primarily in community setting including patient homes, workplaces, with some centre-based service delivery. Interim Care is a subacute service at Woodlands Aged care facility and Interim Care Nerang based at Earlhaven Lodge. These patients are awaiting placement or assessments/legal requirements to be completed.
