Provide scientific advice to Queensland Children's Hospital and external clients relating to Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Urine Microscopy in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under 'your key responsibilities', the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Demonstrated ability to apply well developed multi-specialty scientific judgement in Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology, Urine/CSF Microscopy and high throughput PCR. Demonstrated ability to provide scientific advice to laboratory staff and Hospital and Health Service clients on a range of issues pertaining to Haematology, Transfusion, Chemical Pathology and Urine/CSF Microscopy and high throughput PCR. Demonstrated ability to provide scientific services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with professional clinical standards, established principles / procedures and comprehensive operation and maintenance of analytical equipment. Demonstrated ability to work within a team to contribute to the objectives of the laboratory. * Demonstrated ability to contribute to quality and service improvement activities in accordance with National Association of Testing Authority/International Standardisation Organisation (NATA/ISO) accreditation / certification.
