Our call to you Shine's Class Actions team is in an exciting growth phase, where you will work on a range of active matters and investigations, including claims related to pharmaceuticals, medical devices, pesticides and environmental contamination, shareholder actions, and financial services misconduct, as part of Australia’s leading plaintiff firm in this space. We regularly seek talented solicitors with significant class actions and/or major commercial litigation experience to work in our Brisbane, Sydney, and Melbourne offices, where you’ll be on the frontline as we doggedly seek justice. Reporting to a Class Actions Practice Leader, you’ll truly champion our clients by: Investigating potential class actions relating to personal injury, safety issues, product liability, pharmaceuticals, including reviewing regulatory database and scientific literature. Liaising with registrants and taking statements from potential lead plaintiffs. Supporting the filing of multiple class actions. Supporting the conduct of multiple class actions, effectively delegating to law clerks and paralegals to deliver on discrete tasks towards these class actions. Developing and maintaining strong relationships with our clients and stakeholders, providing regular and effective communication whilst managing expectations. Following Shine's key case management processes to help deliver tasks in full and on time, and support more junior team members to do the same. Drafting high-quality legal documents in a timely manner. Assisting to coordinate production of the applicant's discovery, ensuring relevant records are retrieved and searched using discovery platforms. Take an active role in working with and mentoring law clerks, paralegals, and administrative professional. Experience practising across major/complex commercial litigation in either a defendant or plaintiff capacity is essential for success. A strong understanding of, and ability to interpret the relevant legislation and legal documentation. An innate ability to question, challenge the status quo and always stay ahead of the pack.
