About the Role As a Resident Support Officer, you’ll be a calm, approachable, and trusted presence for students after hours. You’ll support student wellbeing, respond to concerns, and contribute to a safe and welcoming residential community. What You’ll Be Doing Providing after-hours support to students in residence Responding to wellbeing concerns with empathy and professionalism Conducting visible, non-enforcement-focused walkthroughs Assisting with lockouts, enquiries, and amenity access Coordinating with emergency or on-call services when required Completing incident reports and system updates Supporting a safe, respectful, and inclusive residential environment Liaising with university and residential life teams Who We’re Looking For We’re interested in two types of candidates: Experienced Security Officers seeking a more community-focused, people-centric role People-focused professionals (e.g. community services, allied health, education, youth work, student support, multicultural services, hospitality or customer service) who hold a current QLD Security Licence What You Must Have Current QLD Security Licence (mandatory) Ability to work overnight shifts Strong communication and customer service skills Confidence completing written reports and using basic IT systems Calm, professional, and approachable manner Desirable (or Willing to Obtain) First Aid & CPR RSA Working with Children Check (Blue Card) Willingness to complete Mental Health First Aid and Trauma-Informed Care training Why Join CONSTANT?
