About Us: NEPEAN Belting is a leading provider of conveyor belting solutions in the mining industry. We are currently seeking experienced Belt Splicers to join our team in Mackay. Underground coal experience is highly regarded but not essential. Important: This is not a FIFO role . Candidates must live locally or be willing to relocate to Mackay . The Role: Perform conveyor belt splicing and maintenance across mining operations. Work a 5/2 roster onsite, with 12-hour shifts . Opportunities for overtime work in town on days off at competitive town rates. Apply your skills to ensure operational efficiency and safety compliance. Rates of Pay: Surface Site Work – Day Shift (Monday to Friday): $73 flat per hour Underground Coal Work – Day Shift: $76 flat per hour Site Based Overtime / Night Shift / Weekend: $91 flat per hour Who We’re Looking For: Level 3 belt splicers, but we are willing to speak with anyone who has relevant experience including Supervisors. Proven experience as a belt splicer, preferably in underground coal operations. Ability to work safely, follow procedures, and contribute to a team environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
