THE ROLE This role leads the Safeguarding and Oversight team. The team has the responsibility of one of the department's key quality and safeguarding tools through supporting the implementation of the Client Incident Management System (CIMS). They do this by: Reviewing all submissions of major impact incidents, prioritised non-major impact and outcome reports (investigations and root cause analysis) Providing expert advice to all service providers (internal and external) and stakeholders on compliance with CIMS policy and guidance document. Responding to requests for data and advice from stakeholders (for example: Freedom of Information, Legal Services, Agency Performance & System Support teams) as well as service providers. This role has the responsibility of: leading this safeguarding work; thinking innovatively to drive reform and practice change; reviewing data to identify emerging trends and themes; leading the interface with service providers to ensure they are meeting their obligations; and ensuring KPI's are met. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE Provide leadership on matters of governance, project and resource management, strategic and operational planning, engagement and change management strategies Maintain an understanding of issues impacting the department's clients and investigate and lead critical projects that develop and review policies, professional standards and operating practices that enhance service delivery, budget effectiveness, efficiency and improved client outcomes.
