This position offers the opportunity to work with a variety of patient groups, and provide supervision and support to the Dietitian Assistant team. Campbelltown Hospital has recently undergone a significant redevelopment which provides new and expanded clinical services. What You'll Be Doing This position is part of the Campbelltown and Camden Hospital Nutrition & Dietetics Department. The Diet Supervisor assists in maintaining a high standard of nutritional care for all inpatients by supporting the Dietitians in monitoring of oral intake and preferences of patients, liaising with Food Services on the day to day provision of meals to patients, and carrying out patient care and supervisory duties including managing daily rosters and specialised nutrition stocks as directed by the Head of Department. The Diet Supervisor provides daily operational supervision and support to the Dietitian Assistants. Where You'll Be Working Campbelltown and Camden Hospitals, part of the South Western Sydney Local Health District, work together to provide comprehensive healthcare services to the Macarthur region. Campbelltown Hospital, a leading tertiary facility, offers a wide range of services including cardiology, maternity, palliative care, respiratory medicine, emergency medicine, and aged-care services. It also features specialised Mental Health and Cancer facilities. Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition & Dietetics), or Certificate III plus a commitment to complete Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (Nutrition & Dietetics); and extensive and recent experience as a Dietitian Assistant or Diet Supervisor in a hospital. Good current knowledge of nutrition and therapeutic diets. Knowledge and/or experience in malnutrition screening. Good written and verbal communication skills, and excellent customer relations skills and experience. Demonstrated knowledge and experience participating in quality improvement activities. Demonstrated ability to work individually and as part of a team. Excellent knowledge of, and experience using CBORD windows system.
