Your Role Join IAG’s Line 2 Risk Advisory team and help shape smarter, risk-informed decisions across our Corporate Services Divisions: Finance, People Performance & Reputation, Legal & Company Secretariat, and Group Risk. In this role, you’ll provide independent oversight of operational processes and associated risks, becoming a trusted advisor. You’ll conduct thematic reviews, walkthrough processes, validate controls, monitor risk dashboards, Risk Events and Issues, and uncover insights that matter. Your work supporting the Finance division will span complex areas including accounting, actuarial, reinsurance, and investments, giving you exposure to senior stakeholders along the way. About You Audit/Internal Audit/Assurance/Risk experience at a process level, ideally within Insurance (or Financial Services) Experience assessing, testing and validating Line 1’s testing of process level controls through individual and/or larger team-based reviews and producing meaningful observations via verbal and written communications. The ability to engage and communicate effectively with a broad range of stakeholders. Demonstrates enterprise thinking i.e. across the ‘expanded’ value chain. Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives. Risk Management: Ability and skill to identify, assess, prioritise and manage risks. Sound understanding of Australian Regulatory environment (APRA, Corporations Act., ASIC), Governance and Risk Management concepts. Key skills: Attention to detail, Constructive challenge; Enterprise thinking; Strategic mindset; Financial and Business acumen; Customer focus; Growth Mindset, Accountability, Problem Solving, Data Analysis, Teamwork. Undergraduate degree, Postgraduate (CA, CIA - Preferred), Masters degree or other qualifications to perform the role at a fully competent level in addition to 5-10 years business related experience. Financial Services / Insurance experience (General, Life, Reinsurance, Broking preferred) or expert experience relevant to advise the respective Divisions.
