The Employer Our client, Markdale Station Pastoral Co, is a family-owned agribusiness located near Crookwell in the beautiful Southern Tablelands of New South Wales. The property operates a progressive fine wool Merino breeding program, managing approximately 8,000 non-mulesed Merinos, as well as a 300 Angus cow weaner operation, they are dedicated to being a leader in sustainable livestock production. The Role Playing a vital role in the team, collaborating closely with the Farm Manager and engaging in all aspects of this large-scale Merino sheep wool enterprise and Angus weaner operation. Your key responsibilities will include hands-on husbandry of sheep and cattle, which involves activities such as mustering, drenching, providing supplementary feed, and managing general livestock health. In addition to livestock management, you will also be responsible for general farm maintenance. This includes tasks such as fencing, maintenance of machinery and vehicles, and controlling weeds. A strong emphasis will be placed on regenerative farming practices alongside meticulous livestock record-keeping utilising the AgriWebb platform for accuracy and traceability. The owners are dedicated to professional development, and you will have opportunities for further training, including ProGraze. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to attend relevant paid industry events, including bull and ram sales, which will enable you to broaden your knowledge and network within the agricultural community.
