Your New Role Are you ready to take the next step in your IT Security career? As our new Manager, Security Operations & Engineering, you'll join a growing team where your hands-on engineering skills and leadership will make a real impact. You'll oversee and improve core technical security capabilities, ensuring operational excellence and cyber resilience across all areas of IT Security. You'll work with a wide range of technologies, including Microsoft Stack, Azure, Purview, Akamai, Zscaler, Qualys, Identity and Access Management, API security, DSPM, CSPM, Security Copilot, PowerShell, and Python. Your broad technical skill set will help drive simplification, automation, and AI adoption, while you lead a team of security professionals to deliver best-in-class security operations. Collaboration is central to this role, requiring close engagement with internal operational teams, business units, and third-party partners to maintain and strengthen the Fund's overall security posture. You'll motivate and inspire your team, drive continuous improvement, and ensure our Members First culture is firmly embedded in everything you do. What You'll Need Hands-on engineering skills across a broad range of IT Security technologies, ideally covering the MS Stack and suite of security products but others will also be highly beneficial Proven experience in team leadership, with the ability to hire, develop, and inspire a high-performing, diverse, and engaged team. In-depth understanding of current technical cyber security threats and contemporary mitigation strategies. Experience automating and applying AI to deliver operational excellence. Exceptional leadership, stakeholder engagement, influence, and communication skills. Innovative, creative, and curious with a strong growth mindset. Prior experience in the Australian financial services sector is highly desirable but not essential. Understanding complex organisations with scale is more important.
