In this role, you will provide assessment, diagnosis, and evidence based intervention for adults and/or paediatric patients presenting with communication and swallowing disorders. What You Will Bring To The Role Degree in Speech Pathology or equivalent and eligible for practising membership of Speech Pathology Australia Level 1: newly qualified Speech Pathologist with less than three years clinical experience; Level 2: a minimum of three years clinical experience as a Speech Pathologist and the ability to work with minimal supervision and experience providing paediatric Speech Pathology services. Demonstrated experience in providing paediatric Speech Pathology services and ability to work in partnership with families to provide effective interventions for children, within a limited session model. Demonstrated experience and ability to work effectively with families from different psychosocial, socio-economic and/or culturally diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated experience working in a multidisciplinary team within a community setting and an understanding of primary health care principles. Demonstrated understanding of the indicators of child protection issues and mandatory reporting guidelines and responsibilities. Demonstrated knowledge of and the ability to utilise information technology systems within a variety of applications (e.g. CHIME, Cerner, Outlook) and a commitment to undertake training in electronic health record systems as required. Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel. This may include driving long distances across the Local Health District.
