This role is in the DroneShield Sydney headquarters in Sydney CBD. There are approximately 380 staff based in the 4,000sqm facility today, scheduled to grow to approximately 500 staff by end of 2026. Overseas on the ground presence includes Virginia (USA), Netherlands, Denmark, Mexico and Dubai, as well as distributors in over 70 countries globally. About The Role We are looking for a Data Analyst to join our Data Engineering team. The team is passionately focused on helping our internal customers, particularly our machine learning and AI teams, interface with our rich data services using robust and performant APIs, data pipelines and front-end interfaces. Responsibilities, Duties And Expectations Process and deliver data from the field to a team of AI/ML Engineers Ensure the collected data is of high quality and error free Automate data delivery pipelines and workflows Perform quality checks and generate metrics from field data Build new features and capabilities in a complex AI microservices and MLOps environment Take operational responsibility for the services and codebase that you will develop Perform ad-hoc analysis on large datasets Collaborate with other engineers and designers between AI, frontend, backend Write and review code with best practices of readability, testing patterns, documentation, reliability, security, performance considerations in mind Develop with an Agile mindset, constantly searching for ways to improve efficiency of process Qualifications, Experience And Skills BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience Between 3-5-years of experience as a Data Analyst or Data Engineer Experience writing high quality Python code for data analysis and/or data engineering Strong experience in SQL Experience with Dagster, dbt or equivalent tooling Familiar with Docker, GitLab, Kubernetes Experience working in Linux environments Note for recruitment agencies: We do not accept unsolicited candidates from external recruiters unless specifically instructed.
