Job Description We have an opportunity for a Senior Safety Auditor to join our fast-paced Internal Audit team. This role will be crucial to the safety audit team providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services to add value and improve operations across the Endeavour Group of companies. Here is a taster of what you can expect in this role: The Senior Safety Auditor - Stores & Hotels' primary objective is to support the delivery of Internal Audit (IA) objectives, which are: Reporting to the Safety Audit Manager - Stores & Hotels, you will support the delivery of IA objectives, which are providing independent, objective assurance and advisory services designed to add value and improve the organisation's operations You will also bring a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and test the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management and governance processes This is achieved predominantly through leading and conducting assurance engagements, supporting management in delivering the annual audit plan, and providing coaching to team members The primary objective of this role is to support the leadership team in the development, planning and management of the Safety, Health & Wellbeing Assurance Program and provide independent and objective assurance of compliance with processes and procedures, strategies, plans and objectives This role will also ensure that safety, health and workers compensation self insurance licence requirements are met in line with Board and State licensing requirements The Senior Safety Auditor will also provide advisory services and promote continuous improvement in safety performance and safety management systems within the Endeavour Group. The above is achieved in this role predominantly through supporting the leadership team in the delivery of the Safety Internal Audit Plan with a taste of key accountabilities: Support the business maintain Safety, Health and Wellbeing and Injury Management Self Insurance Licence through completion of operational and National Audit Tool (NAT) system audits Support the Senior Manager / Audit Manager develop and maintain the national safety audit assurance program across retail stores and hotels Lead the execution of high risk store / hotel safety audits and system management audits identifying and assessing key risks in operational controls Support with the development and maintenance of the audit schedule using a risk based approach that factors in performance, risks, previous audit results and regulatory enforcement Present audit findings in both written and verbal format to clearly communicate to various levels of management including the Audit and Risk Committee Support team members to achieve a level of engagement with the business which promotes IA as a trusted advisor Identify, recommend and support operational improvement of IA’s own processes and tools Act as an ambassador for IA during assignments, whilst engaging with various levels of management to facilitate achievement of IA objectives Taking initiative to achieve and evolve on IA deliverables.
