Permanent full-time role supportive team hybrid WFH options available. Your new role You’ll play a key role in helping more children and young people access safe, stable and nurturing care. You’ll walk alongside new and existing foster carers through recruitment, assessment, Shared Lives training and early support, ensuring they feel confident, informed and ready to make a difference. You’ll lead information sessions, complete Step-by-Step assessments, provide regular supervision, and work closely with intake to understand the needs of each placement and keep the back-of-house admin in order. Every interaction you have with a carer directly contributes to stronger outcomes for children and young people in Southern & Bayside Melbourne. Your skills and experience You’ll bring the professional experience, judgement and compassion needed to guide foster carers through every stage of their journey. You will also bring: Minimum Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Counselling, Psychology or a related field is a must. Experience working with children and young people who have experienced trauma or abuse. Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to respond to changing priorities.
