With a booming, culturally rich and diverse community, and less than an hourâs drive from the CBD (still within the bounds of Myki and ride-sharing), Melbourneâs North is fast becoming the place to be.   Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Pathology Collector. to join the Northern Pathology Victoriaâs pathology collection team.  About Northern Health: Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourneâs rapidly growing outer north.  Services are provided through our five main campuses: Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn Centre, Kilmore District Hospital, and Mernda Community Hospital. In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park and Coburg.  About the Role:  This role requires the collector to be technically competent and reliable, caring and compassionate. The role includes the collection of samples from patients including blood, urine, faeces and swabs. Take delivery of samples and process them ready for pick-up by couriers. The role will also include some pre-analytical processing of blood and other samples for analysis.   Ensuring that the role is carried out in a manner that is consistent with the values, quality objectives, performance goals, delegations, policies, procedures, and operations of NPV and in line with the Northern Health âCode of Conductâ. The major duties and/or responsibilities and the Key Performance Indicators outline the scope of the position.   To be successful in this role you will have: Certificate III/IV in Pathology Collection  Experience an d good working knowledge of Pathology Collection  Proven ability to work in a team environment and autonomously   The flexibility to work a 7-day week rotating roster, this includes weekends and public holidays  General computer skills  Great time  management  Current working with childrenâs check (employee)  An unencumbered driver's license   Next Steps . . .
