Full-time, Ongoing position Based in Epping Your new role As an Integrated Family Services Case Worker, you will provide support to vulnerable children, young people and their families who are being impacted upon by disadvantage and are potentially at risk of becoming involved with the Child Protection system or are already involved with child protection. In this role, you will provide direct client support and case management response, facilitating referrals to additional specialist supports and advocacy where required. Through child centred, family focused service delivery you will assist families to provide effective parenting and a stable environment to promote the safety, wellbeing and healthy development of the children. Your skills and experience Current Drivers License valid for Victoria Tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Welfare or a related discipline is essential Demonstrated skills and experience in working with disempowered and vulnerable people. Capacity to engage clients and establish effective helping relationships. Undertake strength-based assessments, needs analysis, development of intervention plans and work with clients to bring about change, working with culturally and linguistically diverse communities. Understanding of the issues involved in casework with children, young people and families. Knowledge and experience of a range of relevant intervention strategies and frameworks including children’s developmental needs and parent skill development. View the position description here .
