Job Summary We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Associate Director, Financial Planning with deep experience in the Tech or SaaS industry to lead our financial planning and analysis function. This role is critical in driving data-informed decision-making, optimizing financial performance, and supporting scalable growth across our fast-paced, innovation-driven organization. You will lead a team of finance professionals and collaborate closely with senior executives to shape the financial future of the business. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership & Team Management Lead and develop a high-performing FP&A team across multiple geographies or business units. Champion a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement in financial processes. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing strategic financial guidance. Financial Planning & Forecasting Own the end-to-end planning cycle including annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and long-range planning. Drive scenario modeling and forecasting tailored to SaaS metrics such as ARR, MRR, CAC, LTV, and churn. Align financial plans with product roadmaps, go-to-market strategies, and operational goals. Financial Analysis & Business Insights Analyze complex financial and operational data to uncover trends, risks, and growth opportunities. Deliver actionable insights to support pricing strategies, customer segmentation, and market expansion. Partner with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams to evaluate ROI and optimize resource allocation. Reporting & Performance Monitoring Develop and present executive-level dashboards and reports that track KPIs and business performance. Monitor SaaS-specific metrics and benchmarks to assess financial health and scalability. Ensure timely and accurate reporting to internal and external stakeholders, including investors if applicable. Governance & Compliance Ensure compliance with financial policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements. Support audit readiness and collaborate with legal and compliance teams as needed. Systems & Model Optimization Oversee the development and enhancement of financial models and planning tools. Drive automation and integration of FP&A systems (e.g., Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, NetSuite, Salesforce). Leverage data analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) to improve forecasting accuracy and decision-making. Cross-Functional Collaboration Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to align financial strategies with business objectives. Support strategic initiatives such as M&A, new product launches, and international expansion. About You: Industry Experience Minimum 5 years of FP&A leadership experience in a Tech or SaaS environment . Strong understanding of SaaS business models, subscription revenue, and customer lifecycle metrics. Leadership & Communication Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders. Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate data into strategic narratives. Technical Expertise Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis. Experience with SaaS metrics and tools (e.g., ARR, MRR, churn, cohort analysis). Familiarity with financial systems and BI tools (e.g., NetSuite, Anaplan, Power BI, Tableau). Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (Master’s or MBA preferred). CPA, CFA, or equivalent certification is highly desirable. 10 years of progressive experience in FP&A, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
