All locations considered Permanent position Salary from $97,401 15.4% superannuation Applications close at 11:59pm AEDT, Wednesday 3 December 2025 The team The Financial Advice & Investment Management team is responsible for the regulation and supervision of the investment management and personal financial advice sectors. This includes proactive engagement, monitoring of firms and the sector overall, strategic direction, industry knowledge, technical expertise, administration of the Financial Adviser Exam, and registration of collective investment schemes. The team conducts analysis, research, surveillance, supervision, monitoring, and engagement work to achieve appropriate regulatory outcomes, considers applications for relief from legislative requirements, supports regulatory reform activities, and actively engages with stakeholders to respond to current and emerging industry issues. The team also assists other ASIC teams in enforcement and compliance actions The role As An Analyst, You Will Be Responsible For Conducting analyses on the application of laws in relation to the financial services sector, including reviewing financial advice files for compliance with the law and the financial adviser Code of Ethics. Identifying, assessing, and actioning regulatory issues to promote adherence with the law and better outcomes for consumers. Conducting research and analysis on emerging issues across the sectors. Drafting clear, accurate analysis and advice on matters, with supervision on complex issues. Assisting in drafting regulatory instruments and documents. Considering applications for relief from legislation, reviewing submissions, applying policy and precedents, and settling legal instruments. Liaising and engaging with stakeholders on regulatory issues and encouraging improvements in industry practice. Contributing to written reports, presentations, and briefings for senior management and external stakeholders. About You You are a strategic thinker with strong analytical, investigative, and research skills, able to communicate complex information clearly and persuasively. You thrive in a dynamic environment, building productive relationships and guiding others to deliver quality outcomes. Your ability to contribute to multiple projects and adapt to changing priorities ensures you consistently achieve results. You Will Also Have Relevant tertiary qualification. Experience as an analyst in the financial services sector, ideally gained in a corporate, consulting, government, or academic environment. Strong analytical, investigative, and research skills, including data analysis and presentation. Experience managing relationships with industry and other stakeholders. Ability to take a well-considered, forward-thinking, and planned approach, with agility and flexibility to change.
