Your role at St John of God Bunbury Hospital St John of God Bunbury is seeking a Clinical Nurse to join the Comprehensive Cancer Centre to cover parental leave. In this role, you will provide leadership in the daily operations of the oncology unit. Responsibilities include delivering high-quality patient care, supporting the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM) with supervisory and management functions, and ensuring all unit activities comply with relevant legislation, as well as the operational objectives of the Nursing Division. The role is offered on either a Casual basis or on a 12-month fixed term part-time basis offering 60.8 hours per fortnight. The Position: Promotes and contributes to effective communication, facilitating teamwork and cooperation within wards and with other departments. Communicates appropriate information to senior staff regarding customer and departmental issues. Ensures documentation reflects hospital standards and meets legal requirements. Ensures relationships with all customers are conducive to a harmonious working environment. Maintains links with external agencies as required. Maintains and develops clinical skills in order to manage patient health problems. Undertakes ongoing professional development, applies and shares knowledge and skill. To be successful in this role, you must be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse and recent acute clinical practice in oncology is essential, along with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team. You will have well-developed communication, conflict resolution, negotiation, and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong commitment to quality improvement. You will demonstrate proven leadership capability and be confident in the use of computer information systems.
