About us: Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service (CQMHAODS) provides specialist mental health, substance and alcohol related care to residents of Rockhampton, Capricorn Coast, Gladstone, Central Highlands and Banana areas (catchment in excess of a population of 250,000) with services located in each area. The Adult Community Service Team is based in Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast and provides a service to consumers with complex mental illness in outpatient and home settings, through a range of community mental health interventions including assessment, case management, therapeutic treatment, support, consultations and referral for adults from Rockhampton and Capricorn Coast regional area. About the role: Provide nonclinical support to the Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service in the area of cleaning and waste management. Facilities supported include Community Care Unit, Mental Health Inpatient Units, Sterling Place and Child and Youth services. About you: Ability to work with minimum supervision and able to work efficiently in order to meet deadlines. Experience or ability to acquire skills in areas (e.g. Cleaning, and Waste Management). Demonstrated ability to recognize where improvements are required, and the process involved in implementing the changes. Ability to abide by relevant policies, procedures and guidelines. Demonstrated ability to manage required timeframes to ensure that there is no disruption to services within the Central Queensland Mental Health Alcohol and Other Drugs Service. Written and verbal communication skills to effectively liaise with consumers and other employees. Ability to work in a team environment in a large organisation.
