About the Role We are seeking a qualified and experienced Maintenance Fitter (Elevator Systems) to join our team in Mount Druitt, NSW . The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and installing elevator mechanical systems and related machinery. The role involves working on a variety of lift components, mechanical assemblies, and machinery installations. Travel to client sites across NSW may occasionally be required. Key Responsibilities Assemble, fit, and install elevator components, machinery, and mechanical sub-assemblies. Conduct inspections, testing, and fault diagnosis of elevator systems and associated mechanical equipment. Repair, replace, and reassemble worn or defective mechanical parts in elevators and related systems. Carry out preventive and scheduled maintenance on elevators and associated machinery. Use precision measuring instruments and tools for alignment and fitting tasks. Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical manuals related to elevator systems. Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and compliance documentation. Ensure all work is performed in accordance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) and Australian Standards for lift systems . Collaborate with engineers, supervisors, and other trades personnel to resolve technical and operational issues. Qualifications and Experience Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade or equivalent qualification. Minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience in mechanical fitting, assembly, or maintenance. Strong understanding of elevator mechanical systems, hydraulic systems, and mechanical diagnostics. Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics. Proven commitment to safety and adherence to WHS standards. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork skills. Current driver’s licence (preferred due to travel to client sites). What We Offer Competitive salary package of $95,000 – $115,000 superannuation (based on skills and experience).
