As a result, we are hiring a high-performing National Business Development Manager to build and scale our new external mortgage broker referral channel from the ground up. You will own this function end-to-end — partnerships, training, marketing briefs, collateral creation, reporting, and referral growth. What You’ll Be Doing Build, manage, and grow referral relationships with mortgage brokers nationwide (in person and online) Convert brokers into active, high-quality referral partners who refer qualified clients to Freedom Educate and present the Freedom referral model with clarity and impact Meet brokers face-to-face and run regular Zoom training sessions to increase engagement Create all training materials — including PowerPoints, scripts, guides, and resources Attend mortgage broking events, aggregator PD days, and networking functions Handle broker concerns and escalations with professionalism and care Design, build, and optimise referral systems, tools, and processes from scratch Brief marketing teams and collaborate on the creation of all broker-facing collateral Work with marketing to co-produce presentations, videos, PDFs, and sales materials Maintain accurate activity tracking and partner engagement using HubSpot CRM Work closely with the Business Intelligence team to build reports and dashboards Report clearly and confidently to leadership on performance, trends, and growth opportunities Own end-to-end outcomes — from first contact to referral volume and partner retention What You Must Bring Sydney-based Strong experience working closely with mortgage brokers Proven ability to generate and grow referrals in any industry Experience designing and delivering your own training packs and presentations Confidence presenting in group settings, on Zoom, and 1:1 Experience in briefing marketing and collaborating on copy, content, and design Solid knowledge of property investing Ability to build programs, tools, and systems from scratch and scale them independently Hands-on, growth-oriented mindset — hungry to build, expand, and lead a new function Do Not Apply If You prefer plug-and-play systems and pre-built processes You’re not comfortable writing or presenting training or marketing materials You don’t enjoy face-to-face relationship building and follow-up You prefer reactive work with low ownership You’re not confident taking full accountability for the results of a channel you own Your Scorecard (KPIs) Number of new broker partners activated Monthly referral volume Referral-to-property-sale conversion rate Repeat referral activity and partner retention HubSpot CRM accuracy and follow-up tracking Quality and clarity of reporting to leadership How to Apply Submit your resume via the link.
